Abstract

PURPOSE: A resin composition to be cured quickly, having improved heat resistance, wear resistance, chemical resistance, flame resistance, mechanical strength, and adhesivity, comprising a mixture of maleimides and an oxybenzoyl polyester resin and a curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture or preliminary reaction product of an organic maleimide shown by the formula I (R is bifunctional or penta-or less functional aromatic or cyclic organic group; X1 an X2 are H, halogen, or alkyl; m is 2W5) having two or more maleimide groups in its molecule or its prepolymer and an oxybenzoyl polyester resin having a structural unit shown by the formula II (a group shown by the formula III and -0- are in meta position; X is halogen, lower alkyl, or alkoxy; p is 0W4) is blended with a curing agent preferably a catalytic amount of (not more than 5wt% based on total composition) organic peroxide or dicyandiamide.
