Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out the conveying of the strip without damaging a surface thereof by a method wherein and end part of an upper side edge of the strip in a vertical direction is suspended while grasped by a pinch roller and transferred to reduce the meandering to a plate width direction. CONSTITUTION:The strip 5 is arranged so as to made the plate width direction vertical and the end part of the upper side edge thereof is grasped by roller 16, 17 of the pinch roller 8. This suspended strip 5 is subjected to heat treatment while driven and, in this time, light wt. of the strip 5 is supported by the rollers 16, 17. Moreover, the strip 5 receives regulation force of a downward direction by a press roller 24 and the end part 9 of the upper side edge of the strip 5 is held at a predetermined position of an upper and a lower directions. Thereby, even if there is bad shape in a base plate, a meandering amount in the vicinity of an end part 30a of a lower side edge of the strip 5 to a plate thickness direction is decreased.
