Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent leakage of fluid and improve the durability by providing a vane having an arcuate edge and forming an inner edge of the cylinder chamber such that its inside periphery corresponding to a predetermined angle within a range between fluid inlet and outlet has the same shaped as the outside periphery of the rotor so that a face contact is provided between the rotor and cylinder chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The edge of a vane 2 is made arcuate to avoid frictional contact of the rotor edge with only a particular part of the cylinder chamber 33. This prevents partial wear of the edge of the vane 2 and can improve the stability of operation and durability of the compressor. Also, the inner edge 3a of the cylinder chamber is formed such that its periphery corresponding to a predetermined angle within a range between a fluid inlet 34 and a fluid outlet 36 has the same shape as the outer periphery of the rotor 1, thus providing a face contact between the rotor 1 and cylinder chamber 33. With this construction, the seal between the inlet side 24 and outlet side 26 can be maintained very satisfactorily, thus eliminating leakage of fluid and permitting the compression operation with a very high efficiency.
