Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the optimum lead angle control of an internal combustion engine from a low speed to a high speed, by making the primary current pulse time of an ignition coil approach the rise time of a primary current which is preset by a standard pulse generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A triangular wave with a peak voltage inversely proportional to the number of revolutions of an engine is produced in a triangular wave generator 7, by converting a square wave signal for ignition generated in square wave generators 1, 2 for ignition, synchronizing with the revolution of the engine. The peak voltage of the triangular wave is forced to stay in a peak hold circuit 8, while a voltage with its level somewhat shifted from the peak voltage held in the peak hold circuit 8 is produced in a constant voltage shift circuit 9, and by comparing the shifted voltage with the triangular wave through a comparator 120, the pulse time of an ignition coil 5 is determined. Furthermore, the output pulse width of the comparator 120 is compared with the standard pulse width of a standard pulse generating circuit 10, and the peak voltage is corrected by correcting circuits 11, 12 so as to make the output pulse width of the comparator 120 approach the standard pulse width.
