Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled agent, effective for preventing the flying, invasion, contact and approaching of sanitary and bloodsucking injurious insects, e.g. a cockroach or mosquito, or clothes injurious insects, e.g. a clothes moth, and further an ant, and avoiding the contamination thereof, and containing a thiocyanate compound, e.g. phenyl thiocyanate, as an active constituent.
CONSTITUTION: An injurious insect repellent containing a thiocyanate compound, of the formula (n is 0 or integer 1W8), e.g. benzyl thiocyanate, 2-phenylethyl thiocyanate or 3-phenylpropyl thiocyanate, as an active constituent, and a suitable carrier, e.g. water, alcohol or ketone, an additive such as a film-forming agent, an emulsifying agent, a dispersing agent or a spreading agent. The content of the active constituent compound is 1W80wt%, preferably 5W40wt% for a solution, e.g. wettable powder, and 1W50wt%, preferably 2W20wt% for a solid, e.g. dust.
