Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording material which excels in the wear resisttance, sensitivity and frequency characteristic with a short wavelength each, by forming the magnetic recording layer with two layers with the magnetic powder having a specified large value of coercive force used for the upper layer and the magnetic powder having a specified small value of coercive force used for the lower layer respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The lower layer 2 containing the magnetic substance of 300W 1,000 Oe coercive force is formed on the surface of the substrate 1, and upper layer 3 containing 1,200W2,000 Oe coercive force is formed on the layer 2.
