Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a working efficiency by a method wherein a main conveyor is started again with a good timing by a signal detecting the synchronizing point of the main and auxiliary conveyors when the main conveyor is stopped due to an accident or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When the accident or the like occured in the main conveyor 1, an advanced deviation of the auxiliary conveyor 4 with respect to the synchronizing point is detected by a signal 17 detecting the advancement from the synchronizing point and the main conveyor is stopped by detecting an abnormal in the main conveyor 1. The auxiliary conveyor 4 is still continued to be operated without being stopped at that time. When contents of stopping of the main conveyor 1 is restored, an emergency stop command is released manually, thereafter, when the second synchronizing point detecting signal 36 is generated, or when a relative positional deviation between the pusher 7 of the main conveyor 1 being stopped and the pusher 8 of the auxiliary conveyor 4 being operated continuously becomes zero, the auxiliary conveyor 4 is stopped once, then, the deviation from the synchronizing point is released automatically after a predetermined period of time is elapsed and the main conveyor 1 and the auxiliary conveyor 4 are started again simultaneously.
