CONSTITUTION:Inout signal Ain in one station 10 is transmitted as a optical signal from light emitting element 13 through input interface circuit 11 and light emitting element driving circuit 12. The signal which passed through a pair of reciprocation light transmission lines 30A and 30B is received by light receiving element 24 in the other station 20 and is reproduced as the output signal by output interface circuit 26. The light receiving level in light receiving element 24 is monitored by light receiving level monitor circuit 41 in station 20 to detect level fluctuation. The light emission output level of light emitting element 23 is controlled on a basis of this monitor result to set the light receiving level in light receiving element 14 in station 10 to a level obtained by raising a minimum required level slightly.
