Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain crystalline aluminosilicate with high dispersibility by mixing an aqueous liq. mixed contg. an Si compound, an Al compound, alkali metal or alkaline earth ions, quat. ammonium ions and a transition metal while shearing followed by crystallization.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous liq. mixed is prepared by mixing a predetermined amount each of an Si compound such as silica sol, an Al compound such as sodium aluminate, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal ions, quat. ammonium ions such as tetrabutylammonium ions, and a transition metal (salt) such as Pd having catalytic action. This soln. is mixed while shearing, maintained at about 50W250°C, and crystallized. The resulting crystalline aluminosilicate contg. the transition metal is suitably utilized as a catalyst for the conversion, decomposition, oxidation, reduction or other reaction of hydrocarbon and CO, or for an adsorbent, etc.
