Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit a vehicle to perform an economic running of less fuel consumption by placing a stepless speed change gear in parallel to a reduction gear train through an oil-hydraulic clutch.
CONSTITUTION: A stepless speed change gear 30, which continuously varies, in a given range, the ratio (e) of the revolution speed ω15 of a driving shaft 15 to the revolution speed ω16 of a driven shaft 16, e=ω1615, is connected in parallel to a reduction gear train 20 through an oil-hydraulic clutch 72. Thereby, when the shift lever is operated to D position, through the stepless speed change gear 30 an input shaft 10 and an output shaft 13 are connected so that a power can be transmitted, and in proportion as the revolution speed ratio (e) of the stepless speed change gear 30 is continuously varied in the range, 1/2W2, according to the running condition of a vehicle, the revolution speed ω13 of the output shaft 13 is varied in a wide range, 1/2.ω10W3.ω10. Therefore, an economic running of less fuel consumption can be performed.
