CONSTITUTION:The TV signal which is input from antenna 1 and includes character information is input to tuner 2 and is channel-selected and is led into IF/DET3 and subjected to intermediate frequency amplification and video detection and is input to TV receiving circuit 4 and character receiving circuit 8. The character receiving circuit receives character multiplex broadcast programs successively while switching them automatically and is provided with the method, which presets desired character multiplex broadcast program channels of them, and the method which selects equivalent one in the preset automatically character multiplex broadcast program channels and the video signal and the character signal are mixed in as superimposition in mixing circuit 5 and are outputted to display on CRT6.
