Abstract

PURPOSE: To weaken a secondary flow generated near the upper face of a dovetail by providing step surfaces on the upper face of the dovetail between moving blades each of which faces to the inner face of one moving blade and has a curvature forward the back of the moving blade.
CONSTITUTION: The end face 31 of a dovetail 13 confronting the inner face of each moving blade is raised an H higher than the end face 32 confronting the back, face of the moving blade. A major inrush 25 of a working fluid is formed into main streams 26 while passing through spacings between the inner face 23 of each moving blade 11 and the back face 24 of it. A minor transverse current which is created at the edge of each moving blade near the upper face 27 of the dovetail is divided by a stage 34 and blown by the major inrush 25 running along the stage 34 before growing to an eddy or a tranverse flow, thereby reducing a secondary flow for higher efficiency of a turbine.
