Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of wave forms caused by the fluctuation of a speckle pattern resulting from the coherence of a laser by a method wherein high- frequency signals with a frequency component sufficiently higher than a signal frequency component of modulation signals are overlapped to the modulation signals. CONSTITUTION:Modulation signal currents 1 and the square-wave signals of repetitive frequency sufficiently higher than the upper-limit frequency of the signal currents 1 are inputted to a semiconductor laser drive circuit 3, and mixed. A semiconductor laser 7 is driven by the output of the drive circuit 3. Laser rays from the semiconductor laser 7 are transmitted by an optical fiber 8, and fed to a demodulation circuit 11 through a light detector 9 and a receiving amplifier 10, and original signals are obtained.
