Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the thickness of a coated film and produce a uniform film excellent in adhesion by a method wherein a coated layer of a primer being the same kind as the coating material or having affinity therefor is produced in advance on the surface of body to be coated and then the body is coated by fluidized dip coating.
CONSTITUTION: When coating a resin on the surface of the body to be coated, e.g. metallic article, the surface of the body is coated in advance with the primer which is the same kind as the coating material or has affinity therefor, and then the body is dipped in the fluidized bed of the powdery resin, i.e. the coating material, and is heated. The film of the coating material is formed through the coated layer of the primer. Accordingly, the thickness of the coated film can be controlled within the range of about 30W200μ, thereby producing a film excellent in adhesion and durability and preventing the generation of pinholes.
