Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the operation of intermittent exposure of X-ray irradiation with simplified constitution, by arranging at least two sheets of open-close movable shielding plates between an X-ray focus and X-ray irradiation field and actuating these plates. CONSTITUTION:When an electric motor 13 is driven rotating, a shaft 9 is rotated further this rotating motion is transmitted to a pulley 8 and cam 10 and a pulley 8' and cam 10'. The rotating motion of the cams 10, 10' actuates two sheets of shielding plates 3, 3' to open and close them. That is, the shielding plates 3, 3' are always urged toward a direction of opening by tension springs 6, 6' respectively provided at left and right positions, in this way protrusive tips 3a, 3a' of said shielding plates make their relative movement to the left and right along protruded and hollowed parts in the periphery of the cams 10, 10', thus the open-close operation of the shielding plates can be performed. The state of said open-close operation is detected by a phototransistor 17, converted into an electric signal and processed.
