Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer from a stationary iron core to a stator flange in a disk type rotary machine by forming open grooves on the back surface of the iron core and integrally forming the stator flange making contact with the grooves by casting, thereby positively making contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:The stator iron core 1 has openings on the back surface to be contacted with the stator flange 3 and grooves lA of the shape formed thereon to be equal or larger in inner width than the openings. The stator flange 3 is integrally formed with bar 31 in the groove contacting with the inner surface of the groove 1A and a main part 32 contacted with the back surface of the stator iron core 1 by a casting of the same method as the die cast rotor. In this manner the stator flange 3 may be fit with the back surface of the stator iron core 1 almost regardless of the surface accuracy of the back surface, and sufficient surface pressure can be obtained by the contraction at the time of hardening the cast material, thereby improving the heat transfer from the stationary core to the stator flange.
