Abstract
PURPOSE: A mold molding machine which consists in forming the members constituting a gas box into one piece to form an airtight gas box only at the die clamping without fixing these members to themselves and which is simple in construction, enables easy die exchanging and permits rapid molding cycle.
CONSTITUTION: A suspension frame 13, an upper mold 11, etc. are lowered together with a piston rod 14, to allow the upper mold 11 to contact the top surface of a lower mold 1, and further the frame 13 is lowered to push down the upper mold 11 and lower mold 1. Rollers 2 lower while compressing springs 5 together with floating frames 3 to press the lower case 6 fixed to the lower mold 1 to a stationary plane plate 8. At this time, a sealing plate 7 is pressed between the case 6 and plate 8 and a sealing material 17 between the upper case 16 and movable plane plate 8, respectively, whereby a gas box 27 tightly closed except the vent hole 39 and gas exhaust holes 10, 20 is formed. Next, a hardening gas is blown into the mold to allow the gas to enter 23 the molding and harden the same, after which it is fed into the box 27 through the vent hole 37 and hole 39, thus the gas is absorbed through the exhaust holes 10, 20 without being leaked to the outside. This gas is then subjected to unharmful treatment.
