Abstract

PURPOSE:The shaft of the revolving steaming drum is made square in the cross section and plate blades are provided on the shaft so that the positions of the blades are shifted by the width of each blade in order and they are arranged in opposite directions, thus increasing the stirring efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The revolving steaming drum A is composed of net drums 5 and 6 that are fixed to ring frames 3 and 4 and made separable. The shaft extending through the drum 30 has a square cross section and equipped with plate type stirring blades 311-31n in which the blades are shifted by the width of the precedent blade and the first blade and the second blade make an angle of 90 deg. and the thrid and fourth blades point the opposite directions to the first and second ones respectively and this arrangement is repeated. Tea leaves thrown from inlet 55 is sent by the rotation of the steaming drum A and stirring blades 13 and steamed by steam fed from pipe 80.
