CONSTITUTION:This is the flash fixing unit of the electrostatic recorder equipped with flash lamp 22, light emission part 2 having reflecting umbrella 21 which directs a flash from lamp 22 to recording paper at the fixing position, and electric power source 3 containing the capacitor for turning on flash lamp 22. This light emission part 2 can be fitted detachably to electric power source 3 with heat insulator 8 interposed. Since heat insulator 8 is capable of reducing thermal conduction from light emission part 2 to electric power source 3 greatly, light emission part 2 and electric power source 3 can be arrange closely, and consequently the compacting and unitization of the fixing unit can be realized.
