Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate heating and seizure under heavy load and rapid rotation and enable the tilting of a rotary wheel, by making the rotary wheel as a combined wheel having tilting and sliding sherical surfaces and by enabling the supply of lubricating fluid to the sliding surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: When lubricating oil is supplied to a dynamic pressure passage 1 and high-pressure oil for static pressure is supplied to a static pressure passage 2, the lubricating oil is conducted to a rotary sliding surface 22 and a tilting and sliding surface 23 through a communication passage 15 and an oil passage 16 and the high-pressure oil is conducted from a communication passage 19 to a static pressure pocket 18. When a roller is operated in that state, an outer wheel 11, a tilting wheel 10 and an inner wheel 9 are rotated together. Dynamic pressure is applied to the rotary sliding surface 22 through the lubricating oil by the rotation to carry load. When a shaft 3 is tilted with regard to the center of rotation of the outer wheel 11, slip is caused on the tilting and sliding surface 23 so that the outer wheel 11 tilts without strain. As a result, the roller is prevented from being partially loaded.
