Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality color picture, by supplying the signals to the picture memory device through the input terminal from the correcting decoder and the interchanger during the normal reproduction and the nonnormal reproduction in a high-speed reproduction respectively.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of the color video signal of the NTSC system, the picture memory device 51 stores the data equivalent to the channel A of the video signals equivalent to a field and for one system of the error correcting decoder of the digital VTR. And in the normal reproduction mode, the digital color signal sent from the error correcting decoder is supplid to the device 51 via the input terminal 52. While in the nonnormal reproduction mode, only the data of the channel A among the signals supplied from the error correcting decoder are distributed to be supplied to the device 51 through the terminal 52. In this way, a high-quality color picture can be obtained even in case some error or the lack of signal may be caused to the reproduced signal in the normal reproduction mode or even in the nonnormal reproduction of a high-speed reproduction.
