Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the shock torque of a driving system for a DC motor by applying a suitable bias current instruction to an automatic speed control device for the motor driven by a thyristor converter, thereby inhibiting constantly the motor fo function a regenerative operation. CONSTITUTION:Rolling rollers 12 are driven by two motors M1, M2 mechanically directly coupled to one another. The motor M1 is driven by a generator G, the motor M2 is driven by a thyristor converter 3, and they are controlled by the outputs from automatic current control devices ACR1, ACR2 connected through an automatic speed control device 6 on the basis of a speed instruction signal from a speed instructing device 5. A bias current instruction signal DELTAi is inputted from a current setting device 11 to the control device ACR2, and when a bias current is applied to the control device ACR2, the motor operating state can be retained even in a light and no load times.
