Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize recording of the information by avoiding the unsteady region of an endless tape and regardless of the variation of the tape length, by giving a control to the incapability of recording based on the count value of the pulses which is started simultaneously with detection of the joint of the endless tape.
CONSTITUTION: The mark 6 stuck to the joint part 3a of the endless tape 3 is detected by the mark detector 7. And thus the block counter of the control device 12 is reset to count the block pulses which are generated simultaneously with running of the tape. And the recording is inhibited for the picture information or the like via the device 12 in the region where the count value of the block pulses is set previously. In such constitution, a steady recording is possible by avoiding the unsteady region before and after the joint part 3a and regardless of some variation of the length of tape.
