Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a speed change operability by a method wherein a gear train interposed between an input shaft and elements of a planetary gear is constructed by a planetary gear train capable of change into two steps, i.e. three axial type gear train, and a series and a forward gear reduction.
CONSTITUTION: Rotation of an input shaft 10 is fed an input to a sun gear 31 of a planetary gear 30 through a planetary gear train 60 and a three axial gear tranin 50, while being fed an input to a carrier 32 through a gear-changeable transmitting device 20 and a driven shaft 13. Accordingly, when a rotating velosity ratio e of the input shaft 10 to the driven shaft 13 changes within a range of, for example, 1/2W 2 according to a variation of effective diameters of both pullies 21, 22, the reduction gear ratio changes continuously within a range of 3.656 (e=1/2)W0.354 (e=2) according to the change of the rotating velosity ratio e, and an output shaft 14 is reduced or increased continuously against the input shaft 10 and revolved (forward rotation) in the same direction.
