Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable suction and paper feeding of deformed manuscript by a method wherein a fixed elastic sheet is installed at the upper stream end of the feeding direction on a sheet placing plate.
CONSTITUTION: A manuscript placing plate 17 is disposed so as to make a fixed end part 18a of an elastic sheet 18 face to the feeding direction upper stream side. A fan motor 10 is driven and air is sucked from an air inlet hole 6a into a vacuum chamber 7 and thereby, the deformed manuscript S is attarcted to the lower face of a vacuum plate 6. At the same time, the elastic sheet 18 floats from its free end side, thus, blocking other air inlet holes than the air inlet hole to which the manuscript S is attracted, and the effect of suction due to the fan inceases, as a result, the negative pressure within the vacuum chamber 7 increases, thus, it helps to raise the vacuum plate 6, thus, resulting in performing the driving connection of a low gear 14 to feed the deformed manuscript feasuble.
