Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a disoxidant for preservation of foods, fur or the like, which contains the ferrous carbonate, iron powder, halogenide metal and calcium aluminate hydrate and which has no increment of the pressure in accordance with the deoxidation reaction.
CONSTITUTION: The specific surface area and the crystal element of the ferrous carbonate are used preferably about ≤50m2/g and about ≥400Å respectively. And such ferrous carbonate is produced by giving the coagulating agent to the precipitate obtained by adding to alkali carbonate such as the sodium carbonate or the like to the ferrous salt such as the ferrous sulfate or the like with isolation of the air and then filtering and drying the coagulation with isolation of the air. The iron powder uses the reduced powder having the grain size of about ≤10 meshes, and then reduces the pressure of the group in progress of the deoxidation reaction. This property is just opposite to the ferrous carbonate, and thus the ratio of combination is decided for the both in accordance with the desired pressure. And the calcium aluminate hydrate absorbs CO2 and discharge water. Thus the deoxidation effect can be increased, and then the pressure within this compound can be held constant substantially by the selection of the amount of combination.
