Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled resin compsn. having excellent heat resistance and impact resistance, by a method wherein a specified org. bromine cpd. is blended with a resin mixt. consisting of a styrene resin, a polycarbonate and a graft copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: (a) 90W10pts.wt. of a styrene resin such as a styrene homopolymer or a copolymer resulting from the copolymerization of styrene with a monomer copolymerizable there with and (b) 10W90pts.wt. of a polycarbonate, are mixed with (c) 0W20pts.wt. [per 100pts.wt. of the sum of the (a) component and the (b) component] of a graft copolymer resulting from the graft copolymerization of an elastomer composed mainly of an acrylic ester or butadiene with a styrene monomer to obtain a resin mixt. Then 3W30pts.wt. of a cpd. of the formula (wherein n=1W50) is added to 100pts.wt. of the resin mixt. to obtain the desired resin compsn.
