Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled hollow fiber, useful for hemofiltration, having a high permeation inhibition ratio of albumin and improved ultrafiltration performance, and comprising a porous structure in an inner wall surface and a dense structure in an outer wall surface.
CONSTITUTION: A swelling agent is added to a cellulose acetate solution in acetone to form a spinning solution, which is then subjected to dry-jet wet spinning with a mixed solvent of ethylene glycol and dimethy sulfoxide as a core liquid to give the aimed hollow fiber having an outside diameter of 50W3,000μ, a membrane thickness of 5W800μ, an inner wall surface consisting of a porous structure having an average pore diameter of 0.01W5μ, preferably a multilayer network structure or sponge structue, and an outer wall surface consisting of a dense layer of thickness 1/10 or less of the wall membrane thickness, wherein the porous structure part is present from the inner wall surface of the wall membrane to the dense layer.
