Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce current capacity of a voltage regulator in such a way that a courrent detect current to be supplied to an induction motor is connected to the voltage regulator, and the primary current is limited to be less than a settled value.
CONSTITUTION: A current detector 16 to detect current to be supplied to an induction motor 7 is connected to a voltage regulator 5, while at the same time, in a circuit is provided a current regulating amplifier 15 to give outputs by comparing the current detected by the current detector 16 with an amplifier 2 or 3 and by limiting the deviation to be less than a settled value. Thus, in the low rotation speed range of the induction motor 7, even if larger current command is given through either amplifier 2 or 3, the primary current is limited to be a present limited value, so that current capacity of the voltage regulator 5 can be reduced.
