Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a lack of oil for bearings by drilling a bias hole running from a crank pin press fit opening through a crank arm and providing a nozzle which is faced to a roller bearing within a large end hole in a connecting rod and extends from the bias hole in parallel with a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil sent from an oil path 12 into a center hole 3 under pressure by a pump runs into a bias hole 5. As the downstream end of the bias hole 5 is blocked by a crank pin 6, the lubricating oil is ejected from a nozzle 10 against a roller bearing within a large end hole 9 in a connecting element 8 in the axial direction and lubricates the bearing. The oil then proceeds to the opposite area to lubricate the surface of the crank pin 6 on the side of a crankshaft axis. Some oil is flushed onto the external face of the crankpin 6 by the centrifugal force and lubricates it.
