Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a current Miller circuit to operate stably without oscillating when a voltage drops, by clamping the collector potential of the transistor of the circuit so that the transistor will not be saturated. CONSTITUTION:The collector and base of transistor TRQ4 are connected in common to the collector of transistor Q1 and its emitter is connected to the collector of output side TRQ2. Then, TRQ4 operates as a diode and while the emitter side is the anode, base and collector sides are the cathode. Here, if power voltage Vcc drops, the emitter-collector voltage of TRQ2 decreases according to the drop in Vcc. On the other hand, when TRQ4 turns on, the voltage is clamped to the potential obtained by adding the forward volrage drop across the diode to the collector potential of TRQ1, and consequently TRQ2 will not be saturated, so that no oscillation will be caused. Conseqently, the current Miller circuit can be operated stably without any oscillation during a decrease in voltage.
