Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to restart the diesel engine smoothly, by preventing intrusion of air into pipings through employment of an arrangement capable of stopping fuel supply injection nozzle when it is detected continuously for a predetermined while that a fuel-level detecting sensor is lower than a predetermined level.
CONSTITUTION: The fuel-level detecting sensor 2 is provided near the bottom of a fuel tank 1. A computor 8 for judging to stop operation of engine functions to pass current to a relay 9 when the sensor 2 is kept ON continuously for a predetermined while. When switches A, B are both turned OFF, a fuel controller 11 connected to an ignition switch 10 functions to stop operation of a fuel pump 6. Since, with such an arrangement, a diesel engine can be stopped forcibly before air enters into fuel- supply pipings when the amount of fuel left in fuel tank 1 becomes small, it is enabled to restart the engine smoothly after replenishment of fuel , with no need of air removing operation.
