Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the fuel to be speedily supplied for a diesel engine for reducing the starting time by exciting a solenoid when the starting signal is generated in order to move the fuel control shaft to the maximum fuel supply position and to hold it for a given period of time.
CONSTITUTION: When the starting signal of a diesel engine is outputted, the compressed air in an air tank 1 is supplied for a governor booster 3 through a staring solenoid valve 2 to raise the lubricating oil pressure in the booster 3. The rise of the lubricating oil pressure is transmitted to an oil hydraulic governor 4 of the diesel engine to adjust the moving amount of a fuel control shaft 5 in order to control the fuel supply. In addition, the starting signal causes a solenoid 6 to be excited to pull, through a connecting member 8, the fuel control shaft 5 in the direction of an arrow X to the maximum fuel supply position. When the speed of the engine thus started reaches as order of 50% of the rated speed, the excitation of the solenoid is stopped, and after that, the shaft 5 is controlled by the governor 4.
