Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct coating having corrosion resistance for a prolonged term even at a low temperature and in seawater by a method wherein zinc powder paints are applied on the surface of a steel material after foundation treatment, and paints consisting of epoxy resin, epoxyacrylate resin, etc. are applied thereon.
CONSTITUTION: Iron oxide on the surface of a steel structure is removed or a primary rust film is removed, and zinc powder paints are coated instantaneously. A paint composition, whose indispensable ingredients are epoxy resin, epoxyacrylate resin and polyamide resin containing an alcoholic hydroxyl group, or a paint composition, whose indispensable ingredients are epoxy resin, epoxyacrylate resin, polyamide resin and saturated monovalent alcohol with 1W5 carbon numbers, is applied thereon. Said coating method can be used even under low temperature environment, and resists the corrosion of a steel structure for a prolonged term with an excellent maintenance property.
