Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the use of a monostable type polar electromagnet for a miniature relay having one side length of few mm. by a method wherein the both end pieces of a shaped yoke being wound around with an exciting coil are made to confront with the leg parts of a movable core in a specified relation, and the movable core is energized in one direction with a spring. CONSTITUTION:A movable core block 7 has two permanent magnets 3, 4 as shown in the figure at the center part of the shaped magnetic plate 1 and L shaped magnetic plates 5, 6 and is energized in one direction with the spring 2. Two legs 9b, 9d of a shaped yoke 9 being wound around with an exciting coil 8 are so arranged as to be put in clearances A, B at the end leg parts of the movable core. A current is made to flow in the exciting coil 8 to energize the leg parts of yoke, and the spring constant of the spring, number of turns of the exciting coil and the quantity of current are so decided as the movable core 7 to travel against the spring 2. By this way, a monostable type polar electromagnet suitable for a miniature relay having few mm. size can be obtained.
