Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the gas quantity for safe and failure-free ignition and to keep stable burning of minimum necessity, by providing a valve body across a flow path of gas via a spring and adjusting the resilient force of the spring.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 11 and valve body 4 are urged in the direction toward a valve seat 3 by a spring 17. The motion of the valve body 4 is controlled by an electric current passing through a solenoid coil 18. Upon igniting the gas, the valve body 4 is actuated so that the gas corresponding to the gas quantity to be ignited is formed between the valve body 4 and the valve seat 3. After ignition is confirmed, the gap between the valve body 4 and valve seat 3 is controlled corresponding to the load and the gas quantity is controlled.
