Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the attachment of a torsional damper to an internal combustion engine possible without lengthening a crank-shaft and to simplify the attachment construction, by attaching a boss to the crank-shaft and incorporating thereto a dynamo and a torsional damper. CONSTITUTION:A boss 2 is attached to a crank-shaft 1 by a nut 1a, and to the boss 2 is attached a rotor 3a of a dynamo 3. A rubber damper 7 is mounted by baking between a fly-wheel 6 and an outer surface 3b of the rotor 3a and an outer circumference of the boss 2 to compose a torsional damper 8 by these fly-wheel 6 and damper 7. Thus the dynamo 3 and the torsional damper 8 are integrally atached using the the single boss in common, so that the width of the attachment can be reduced and the length of the crank-shaft can be decreased to obtain a compact internal combusion engine. Also, the number of the component members can be decreased to simplify the construction thereof and the attachment procedure.
