Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove impulsive sound caused by fluid when dehydration is stopped so as to make quiet operation possible, by making plural water-flow holes in the baffle plates in a balancer which is equipped in a dehydrator, and by making the hole at the outermost position smaller than the other holes.
CONSTITUTION: A dehydrator comprises a dehydrating tank 3 rotated by a motor 6, and a balancer 20 attached to the dehydrating tank 3. The balancer 20 is constituted of upper and lower valancer cases 21, 22 made of U-shaped material, baffle plates 23, 24, which attach to the balancer cases 21, 22 and which divide the inside of the balancer cases 21, 22, and a fluid 25 such as a soln. of calcium chloride. The balancer cases 21, 22 are welded to each other at the surfaces A, B, at which the cases are divided, and is sealed hermetically. Plural water-flow holes 26 are made vertically in the baffle plates 23, 24, and the outermost hole of the water-flow holes 26 is smaller than the other holes, i.e., the area and the length of the outermost holes are respectively about 1/2 those of the other holes.
