Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain the sufficient effect of suppressing instantaneous input variation by preventing a control transistor from getting saturated by interposing a diode between the control transistor and an error voltage amplifying transistor.
CONSTITUTION: Switching diode 12 is interposed between control transistor TR2 and error voltage amplifying transistor TR7. A potential at the anode of diode 12, i.e. point A is set lower than that at point B by resistance 13 within the stabilizing range so that diode 12 will not turn on. As the input voltage falls and the collector current of TR7 decreases, the potential at point A increases and when it exceeds its setpoint, diode 12 conducts. Through this conduction, a blas voltage is applied to the base of TR2 to prevent the saturation of TR2. Thus, the saturation of TR2 is prevented, so that the sufficient effect of suppressing instantaneous input variation can be obtained.
