Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the amount of exhaust return flow to attain the maximum level at about 3/4 of the full load for an engine and perform an adequate cleaning operation of its exhaust gas, by controlling an intake valve provided to an intake pipe of the diesel engine in accordance with the amount of intake air and the rotational speed and injection amount of a fuel injection device.
CONSTITUTION: Intake and exhaust pipes 18, 23 of an engine 21 are linked by a return flow pipe 22. The amount of return flow is determined by an intake valve 20 provided in the intake pipe 18. The valve 20 is interlocked to a liquid pressure actuator 24 having chambers 14, 16 formed at its both sides, further a fuel introduction into the both chambers 14, 16 is adjusted by two solenoid valves 8, 9. The both solenoid valves 8, 9 are controlled by a control circuit 10. To said circuit 10 signals from an intake air amount detector, rotational speed detector 25 of a feed pump 2 is a fuel injection device 26 and injection amount detector 6 of a fuel control sleeve 3 are input to permit each of the signals to decide a delivery pressure to the both chambers 14, 16.
