PURPOSE:To eliminate or reduce moire disturbance appearing in a reproduced picture by moving an original in the subscanning direction by fixed extent while the quantity of light of a solid image sensor in stored. CONSTITUTION:Through photoelectric conversion of a solid image sensor, the quantity of light stored in each scanning period is output as a photoelectric conversion signal in the following scanning period. Namely, the quantity of light stored in scanning period n0 is output in scanning period (n) and the quantities of light stored in (n+1)0 and (n+2)0 are output in scanning periods (n+1) and (n+2). For the purpose, an original is moved in the center of light quantity storage periods n0, (n+1)0, (n+2)0... of the solid image sensor. In this case, the aperture width of the solid image sensor should be equal to the subscanning-line pitch.
