Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a simple construction or structure and assure an air-tight structure by a method wherein the tie-rod and the rear wall of the booster shell are connected through a fixing bolt of the booster shell for the schassis. CONSTITUTION:Opposing wall of the front and rear walls 1F, 1R of the shell 1 are connected through tie-rod 34 passing through the booster piston 2 and the diaphragm 3, a rolling diaphragm 35 is arranged in tension between the opposing circumferential surfaces of the piston 2 and the rod 34, then the through-hole 31 is sealed so as not to prevent an operation of the piston 2. The front wall 1F and the flange of the master cylinder M are held by the bolt 37 at the front end of the rod 34, the flange 38 and the nut 39, then the air-tightness is kept. On one hand, one end 43a of the fixing bolt 43 is threadably engaged with the rear and of the rod 34 through the rear wall 1R, the rear wall 1R is held by the flange 44 and the rear end of the rod 34, and its air-tightness is kept by the seal 47. Part of the bolt 43 projected from the rear wall 1R is passed through the front wall of the compartment, threadably engaged with the nut 52, then the shell 1 is fixed to the front wall W.
