Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent, in an electrolytic machining device for machining a workpiece under a high pressure, a short-circuit accident between a workpiece and the electrode caused by the pressure of the electrolytic solution, by providing a relief hole so as to connect the pool of the work table to the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:When the nose of an electrode 16 almost penetrates through a workpiece 10 after the second electrolytic machining cycle, the pressure of the electrolytic solution works on the lip 10a formed at the bottom side of the workpiece 10 in a direction to lift up the workpiece 10, however, the pressure of the electrolytic solution is relieved, since the electrolytic solution is allowed to escape through a relief hole 20 connecting the pool 18 formed on the work table 14 to the atmosphere, therefore, the workpiece 10 will not be lifted up so that the short-circuit accident between the lip 10a of the workpiece 10 and the nose of the electrode 16 is prevented.
