Abstract
PURPOSE:To give the weighting vertically to the propagating direction of the surface elastic wave, by distributing the divided transmitting and receiving electrodes with different spaces each. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting and receiving reld screen type electrodes are divided into widths a1 and a2- which are vertical to the propagating direction of the surface elastic wave; and distances X1 and X2 are secured between the electrodes having widths a1 and a2. The whole frequency characteristics of the transducer thus constituted are the functions of widths a1, a2 and so on plus distances X1, X2 and so on. Accordingly, these values are set properly to obtain a filter having the desired frequency and phase characteristics. Thus the weighting can be carried out by setting properly distance X between the transmitting and receiving electrodes.
