Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the low temperature starting characteristic of the engine by a method wherein a motor is operated at a low speed when the engine is controlled to a target idle rpm while when the engine is started, a quick acting and temperature sensitive valve is automatically opened to an optimum degree.
CONSTITUTION: A constant voltage circuit 608 supplies a constant voltage lower than the voltage of a battery 800 to a drive circuit 609 for a DC motor 301 operating a throttle valve 201 of a carburetor or the like. The supplied voltage can be switched to a higher voltage through a switching circuit 607. Both the switching circuit 607 and the driving circuit 609 supply, temporarily at the time of starting the engine, a voltage higher than the voltage of the driving circuit 609 through a timing circuit 610 for starting and at the same time it drives the DC motor 301 to open the throttle valve 201. The timing circuit 610 is so constituted that the lower the engine temperature, the larger it is operated in cooperation with a temperature detecting means 400.
