Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately detect the water leakage of water pipe network by beforehand measuring the past actual water requirements with respect to plural days and calculating reference values and comparing actual water requirements with the reference values. CONSTITUTION:Water is supplied through water distribution pipe network 20 to each home 23, building 22, factory, etc. A flowmeter 40, a valve 50 and a water pressure gage 60 are provided to the pipeline at the inlet of this network 20. The output of the flowmeter 40 is smoothed by a smoothing circuit 45, and a smoothed output Qt is outputted. Since the flow rate measured by the flowmeter 40 is added with the flow rate change owing to opening and closing of the valve 50 and the like other than the demand change in the water distribution pipe network that is essentially desired to be measured, the control signal of an opening degree control device 70 is taken into the circuit 45, by which the noise caused by valve control is removed. The values of a memory 85 in which the past actual water requirements as reference values are compared with the subsequent acutal water requirements, whereby water leakage is detected.
