Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a cheap gas dischrge indication panel having simple structure, by providing many parallel grooves in the inner face of an insulation board such as glass to produce one electrode while providing a similar opposite electrode which crosses perpendicularly with former electrode then providing a recess at the cross-section of the electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum container is constructed with a back-plate 10 and a front-plate 9. Many grooves 11 are made in parallel at the inside of an insulation board such as glass of the back-plate 10 while an anode electrode 2 is burried at the bottom. Many parallel cathode electrodes 6 which cross perpendicularly with said anode electrode are provided at the inside of a transparent insulation board of the front board 9. Recesses are provided in correspondence with the discharge cell in the front plate glass 9 while a black insulation layer 13 is provided to improve the brightness. DC voltage is applied on a reset auxiliary discharge cell 18 to perform the continuous discharge and thus produced charged particles will be transferred to one end of a character indication auxiliary discharge cell 17 arranged in parallel then sequentially transferred to the other end of a character indication auxiliary discharge cell 19 thereafter transferred from said cell 19 to a discharge cell 15. Consequently an inexpensive gas discharge indication panel having simple structure can be achieved.
