Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve head crash resistance, etc. by imparting a polyimide resin, etc. in lieu of an aluminum anodized film having many defects and forming a continuous thin film medium thereon in a magnetic disc plate. CONSTITUTION:A polyimide resin or a BT resin of triazine type is imparted as an intermediate layer 2 by sputtering, spin coating, etc. on an aluminum blank plate 1, and a continuous thin film medium 3 of gamma-Fe2O3 is formed thereon, whereby an intended magnetic disc plate is formed. The resultant magnetic disc plate has the intermediate layer 2 having resilience, and therefore when it collides against a magnetic head, shock is absorbed and the surface of the medium 3 is effectively protected.
