Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce load with natural air inhalation in such a way of by-passing the supercharger at the time of operating under low load by installing a change-over valve to interlock with the throttle valve of a carburetor in the system circuit of the air inlet pipe to connect from the carburetor through the supercharger to the engine body.
CONSTITUTION: A change-over valve 4 to interlock with the throttle valve 3 of a carburetor 1 is installed in the system circuit of the air inlet pipe to connect from the carburetor 1 through the compressor 7 of a supercharger 6 to the engine body 8. A muffler 12 is conducted through a turbine 11 to an exhaust pipe of the engine 8. When it is at operation under low load with the throttle valve 3 slightly open, the carburetor 1 and the air inlet pipe 5C are conducted to each other in order to make natural air inhalation. This facilitates to improve starting quality and readiness for its response, and to reduce oil consumption.
