Abstract
PURPOSE: In distilling an alcohol by super arosu pass method, to prevent the deposition of scales in every column and to improve purification efficiency, by carrying out operations of rough distillation processes of separating column, koji column and concentrating column under reduced pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Based on super arosu pass method, fermentation koji is fed to the separating column A1, where it is processed into alcohol vapor containing impurities, and sent through rough distillation processes of an extracting column, the separating column A1, the koji column A and the concentrating column A2 to a purification process. The separating column A1 and the koji column A are operated under reduced pressure by the vacuum pump 1 and the degree of reduced pressure is controlled by the reducing valve 5 which is influenced by the reduced pressure gage 3, and the concentrating column A2 is operated under reduced pressure by the vacuum pump 7 and its degree is controlled by the reducing valve 9 which is influenced by the reduced pressure gage 8. Steam evolving from heads of columns, e.g., extracting column, rectifying column, etc. is used as the heat source of these columns to attain saving of energy.
